1、 Xiesheng Machine Factory (the predecessor of Deli)
The predecessor of Guangdong Deli Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. is Rongqi "Xiesheng Machine Factory"
It was founded in 1943, mainly for the maintenance of sugar industry, silk reeling, grain processing, water conservancy and other machinery.
 

2、 Local state-owned Shunde People's Machine Factory
In October 1950, the boss of Xiesheng Machine Factory evaded taxes, so the factory was taken over by the people's government and renamed as the "local state-owned Shunde People's Machine Factory", which was incorporated into the local industrial development system. With the recruitment of new technicians, the number of workers has increased to more than 50. At that time, the products were still mainly used to maintain machinery for sugar industry, silk reeling, grain processing, water conservancy, etc. In 1954, the local state-owned Shunde County People's Machine Factory merged the "High Important Machine Factory", transferred a group of technicians and equipment, and prepared to build a foundry workshop in the same year, starting a new period of active production.
 

3、 From 1956 to 1958, after socialist transformation, the factory changed its name twice, merged and developed for many times, expanded its production scope, and rapidly improved its production environment. China has entered the "Great Leap Forward" period. In order to meet the needs of economic development, Shunde Agricultural Machinery Factory expanded the plant area to 20000 square meters according to the requirements of the county party committee and the county government, increased the production equipment to 128 sets (including self designed and manufactured), and expanded the plant to 2395 people. It also successfully trial produced 3 horsepower diesel engines, tractors, rattan cutting machines and other agricultural machinery, and produced 100 ordinary lathes, responding to the national policy of "taking steel as the key link", In three months, the task of making 200 tons of steel assigned by the county committee was overfulfilled.
 

4、 During this period, the national economy entered a period of adjustment characterized by "three years of economic difficulties". The production plan of Shunde Agricultural Machinery Factory has been reduced. While the enterprise has successively released a large number of workers to evacuate them back to their original places of origin, it has organized the remaining workers to carry out "production self-help". Organize workers to produce unplanned products, such as daily necessities such as iron pans and small farm tools such as hoes and Caozhao, by using the leftovers from machining, and sell them on the street (direct sales).。

6、 Serving agriculture promotes the development of agricultural machinery factory. On January 1, 1970, the "local state-owned Shunde Farm Machinery Factory" was renamed "Shunde County Farm Machinery Repair and Manufacturing Factory" (hereinafter referred to as the Farm Machinery Factory). Further clarify the development direction of serving agricultural production. With its own efforts, the enterprise organized a "three in one" technical team of workers, cadres and professional technicians to overcome many difficulties and independently designed and produced a variety of equipment and products, such as regenerative melting furnace, forging reverberatory furnace, Y38 hobbing machine, C660 lathe, Z35 radial drill, B5032 slotting machine, universal tool mill, large plate rolling machine There are six professional diesel engine processing and production lines, as well as a large number of new products such as a variety of agricultural machinery, sugar machinery and instruments, 190-10 vertical diesel engine, etc. We also set up a professional design, production and testing team for high pressure vessels in Shunde County to participate in the construction and capacity expansion of Shunde Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant and the design, processing and manufacturing of main components of Ganzhutan Power Station.

7、 In the 1970s and 1980s, Shunde County Agricultural Machinery Repair and Manufacturing Factory had an unprecedented growth and development. 8、 In the mid-1970s, Shunde County Agricultural Machinery Repair and Manufacturing Factory further defined the direction of serving agriculture according to the national instruction to realize "agricultural mechanization". In the spirit of "serving agriculture", in addition to developing and producing agricultural machinery such as "Deli Brand" vertical diesel engines, the agricultural machinery factory also paid attention to providing a full range of mechanical maintenance services for rural teams serving their counterparts, In 1975 alone, 142 people were sent to the countryside to repair agricultural machinery and tools, and 433 people were trained to work in the countryside. We will also establish a model of mutual assistance and cooperation between workers and peasants based on Magang Brigade, Red Flag Brigade, Zhenhua Brigade, Rongli Brigade, etc.


 
 Critical period
9、 In 1979, according to the national requirements for industrial development, Shunde County Agricultural Machinery Repair and Manufacturing Factory introduced the "total quality management" method to meet the needs of establishing a diesel engine production quality assurance system. In 1980, the factory established the "Total Quality Management Committee" to comprehensively promote the "TQC" activity by training and assessing all employees and strengthening the requirements for product quality inspection. 45 "QC" groups were set up throughout the factory, covering all workshops and teams. The enterprise is recognized as a secondary unit of measurement in Guangdong Province. In September 1982, the DL190-12 vertical diesel engine won the "National Silver Award", which not only recognized the product quality by the state, but also pointed out the direction for the development of the enterprise.
 
During this period, Shunde Agricultural Machinery Factory had more than 1300 employees, more than half of whom were from Chen Village, Lunjiao, Daliang and other towns and streets. Since the workers in the agricultural machinery factory needed to have a certain technical foundation, it was difficult to find these skilled workers at that time. In order to improve the technical level of workers, the factory began to hold workers' universities in 1976. Some willing students are selected from the workforce to form a class, and the teachers are composed of local engineers and some experienced teachers. Shunde Agricultural Machinery Factory was honored as the "Whampoa Military Academy" of Shunde machinery industry in those years. It trained a large number of skilled mechanical workers and transferred them to various industrial posts of Shunde enterprises.

10、 On October 15, 1984, the "Shunde County Agricultural Machinery Repair and Manufacturing Factory" was officially renamed as "Guangdong Shunde Diesel Engine Factory", which turned to the specialized production of "diesel engines" and took the lead in establishing the "three guarantees" after-sales service system for agricultural machinery in the agricultural machinery industry. The total labor productivity, per capita profit, per capita output, casting comprehensive waste rate and other indicators of Guangdong Shunde Diesel Engine Factory rank among the best in the medium and small power diesel engine industry in China. By 1985, the products had covered the provincial market and sold well in 12 provinces, cities and autonomous regions across the country; Direct and indirect export to Southeast Asia, South America, Africa and other countries.
 
11、 After the adjustment and reform of the operation and management of industrial enterprises and the adjustment of the industrial structure of Shunde, Guangdong Shunde Diesel Engine Factory has developed into "Shunde Deli Enterprise Group", forming the embryonic form of an enterprise group, from one factory to three factories (Shunde Deli Diesel Engine Factory, Shunde Deli Machinery Factory, Shunde Casting Center). According to the development plan of Shunde's industrial strategy, Deli Group has cooperated with FAW Group to establish "Shunde Automobile Factory". By the early 1990s, the spring breeze of reform and opening up had promoted the transformation of state-owned enterprises in Shunde, and Shunde Deli Group had also developed along the trend. By the middle of the 1990s, it had successfully realized enterprise transformation. Many staff dormitories built by Deli Group over the years have also changed the original state-owned staff dormitories into personal ownership through the conversion of housing property rights in the process of restructuring.

Since the 21st century, China's economy has been developing steadily, continuously and rapidly in a relatively peaceful international environment. Shunde has been groping ahead on the road of industrial transformation and upgrading. In addition to strengthening the research and development and operation of the leading product "Deli" vertical single cylinder diesel engine, Deli Group has made efforts to expand business and capital operation, and has successively cooperated to establish new companies to research, develop and produce desalination equipment, textile machinery, printing machinery Information technology, and became the main founding shareholder of "Guangdong Deguan Company".
